During my student teaching experience, I feel that I have gained so much useful information. Things like: How to prepare a lesson plan, make it fun, but also having a learning impact on the students, keeping an eye on the timing of a lesson, use a variety of ways to assess students work, ways to motivate your students, keep the lines of communication open with the parents, how to work together with other teachers and staff, places to get new resources, easier ways to correct papers, listen to your students and their needs, and also how to be compassionate and patient!
This experience has been meaningful to me because I now feel more confident in my ability to teach. I know for sure that I am in the right place. A teacher can really mold the lives of their students. This experience has made teaching more real than just reading it out of a text. I got to see everything first hand and learned how to deal with a lot of different situation that happes on a daily basis in the classroom. It certainly is not a mundane job, there is something new and exciting every day!! I am now looking forward to the day when I will have my own classroom. This experience has been wonderful!
