Welcome to Ed. 4800

Ed. 4800 is a course designed to document your knowledge of your teaching competencies. You will complete four assignments during your student teaching experience. The course syllabus, found under the course links describes the course and all of the assignments.

Below please find a presentation that describes the course overview and the strategies for turning in your work and communicating your information and questions throughout the course.

We will be using Web 2.0, social networking, resources to communicate and document your experience this semester. To do this we will use Google resources. If you do not have a "google account" at this time, you will need to create one for yourself. You will find that there are many "free" resources for educators supported through Google.

During the semester there will be two "optional" face to face sessions for the course that will be available to you via the web using "webex" and by phone. This way even if you are at a distance you will be able to fully participate in the meetings. The meetings are designed to answer questions and allow you to share with colleagues your student teaching experiences. These sessions will be announce via "group emails" sent out through your BSU email.

I will hold an optional "orientation" question and answer regarding the course in EA 420 on Monday, Dec. 14 at 1.
